A person asked me recently about making a 360 video player and I thought it might be a fun challenge for myself to see if its something I can accomplish what what I've built so far with my youtube series. So far very promising results for a novice :)

Obviously I need to see why the video doesn't lay itself perfectly, is it the wrong shape? Are the UVs off? Is it the Projection Matrix? is it because the camera isn't placed in the dead center spot? One big issue is the camera controller I have doesn't work well in orbit mode, it gets confused when at the back of a model.
