...Many times while experimenting with fire rolling I get partial ignition sometimes then it snuffs out due to a lack of oxygen & thats usually it as if if you try to re roll it, it just disintegrates.

...Anyway on this occasion, where I thought I had ignition, instead of discarding it I thought I'd experiment & see if it would ignite with flint & steel. After all the core of the roll has been charred technically.

...Anyway it took a bit to get it positioned right, as there wasn't a huge surface area to aim at, but eventually I got a spark to land & catch. I'll be experimenting further with this but early indications suggest the roll has to of ignited & made dark char in the core for it to catch a spark.
