Hi, Matt with etrailer. Today we're going to be talking about the quick link by RV designer. That's going to be three eighths in size. So I like quick links because they are very versatile. You can use them in a lot of different uses. You can use them if you have a chain that breaks.
They kind of mend it together to replace that old link. You can use it as a point to hook onto your vehicle if your safety chains are in an awkward spot or you don't like the way they're shaped. And then you can also use it to replace your old hooks on your chains. If these hooks are very large, they're kind of hard to work with, that's another reason why you might want to use this. But again, you can use them in a lot of different circumstances.
Now what I do like about the one we have today is this is going to be made from a galvanized steel, so it's very sturdy and it's going to resist from rusting over time. But it works with a lot of different safety chain loops. Right here, it went on here really easy. You can tell this is a tricky spot to get to, especially since we do have this pin that kind of gets in our way. Once I have it on here, I can thread this on.
Moves relatively smooth. Sometimes even right out of the box, some of these have some burrs that get in your way. Didn't have any issues there. And it is large enough since it is three eighths in size to even take these extra large hooks like I have right here without any problems. Sometimes it might get kind of caught there for a second, but there we go.
This is on there completely and it doesn't make me worried at all. And this is going to work pretty well even with these larger links like I have right here. Goes right in there. So again, if you ever do have to mend these together, you'll be able to use one of these. Now it is going to have a working load limit of 2,200 pounds, which is pretty good. It is important you just check what is the weakest link in your whole setup. Go from there just so you don't damage anything. And finally, this does come in just a kit of one. So if you need two of them, make sure you pick up an extra one, but that's pretty much it. Now if you guys have any other questions, let us know here at etrailer.
