Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Timbren Rear-Wheel BES Disc Brake Pad Kit. Now, this has been designed to fit your 2019 to 2020 Ram 1500, and then your 2021 to 2024 1500 with or without the 6.2-liter engine. On custom-fit parts such as these pads, I do recommend taking advantage of our Vehicle Fit Guide here at etrailer. Just pop in the year, make, and model of your vehicle, answer any other questions that it might have for you, and our fit guide will confirm if these pads will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. Now, this is gonna be just for the pads only.
I do wanna let you know that we do carry complete kits as well with the pads and the rotors that are gonna fit your vehicle, so if you're looking for the complete kit, again, the Fit Guide will point you in the right direction. So, if you do a lot of towing, your factory brake pads can start to feel overwhelmed by the extra weight, and you might be already feeling that now, that's why you're looking at these brake pads. These severe-duty brake pads are designed specifically for trucks that tow and do heavy loads on a regular basis. So, these pads are gonna give you that stronger initial bite and a more responsive pedal, so you're going to feel more confident when you need to slow down. Whether traffic suddenly comes to a stop or someone pulls out in front of you, these are gonna provide better control during those hard braking situations.
These are also built to handle the heat that come with the towing. The fade-resistant friction material maintains consistent braking performance through repeated stops, so your brakes are gonna stay predictable even on those long grades or in stop-and-go traffic. And because these are low-metallic pads, they're gonna naturally provide more stopping power, but they can create more noise. So, to help with that, premium multi-layer vulcanized rubber shims have been installed on these pads to reduce the squeal without sacrificing brake performance. On your screen, I wanted to show you a closeup of one of those shims from Timbren and just the construction, and then the second picture there shows you a little more detail of the pad itself with that shim removed.
So, these pads are positive-molded, and that's gonna ensure consistent density and precise dimensions for even wear and reliable braking performance throughout the life of the pad. So, as I hope you can see here, these pads are well-designed and built, and really thought through pretty thoroughly for those heavy towing situations or heavy hauling situations. Installation's gonna be relatively straightforward. The hardware is included, as you can see here. You're gonna get some lubricant.
By the way, these blue stripes here are a bed-in coating that's gonna help these pads deliver that solid pedal feel right away while shortening the break-in period.
