Hi, Matt with etrailer. Today, we're going to be talking about the etrailer manual jack. That's going to be rated for 2,000 pounds. And what's really neat about this, it comes with a couple things. It's going to come with this drill bit attachment, so we can even use the drill to even operate it. And on top of that, you're going to get this tongue weight scale so you can help monitor the weight of your trailer.

So I think this is going to be a great option for anyone out there who's looking for a jack that's going to be really easy to operate, and you want the benefits of not only a manual jack, but a electric jack, because those electric jacks are typically a lot faster. And you saw me using the drill attachment earlier. It also moves pretty quick with that. But you don't have to deal with the cost of an electric jack or the reliance with your battery. This tongue weight scale, and this actually does make a big difference because this is going to allow you to monitor the tongue weight of your trailer.

So if you have a load that's constantly changing or you're adjusting it and you want to be safer on the road, this is going to be the accessory you want to have with you because you want to make sure you have the proper tongue weight because if it's too heavy or too light, what that can do is in some severe cases, you can even have a uncoupling happen to your trailer, which could lead to an accident. The other big thing to this is having the proper tongue weight is also going to lead to a more comfortable ride. And when it comes to actually putting this on, it's really easy to do. All you have to do is drop down your old foot plate on here that comes with your jack. Once that one's removed, you'll slide this one on.

You can put a pin in here. You have two directions you can have it face, whatever's easier, more convenient for you. Lower it down, get that reading, and then you're good to go. Just make sure you put that old foot plate back on. Now I do want to talk to you guys a little bit more, so how it feels to actually use this.

So when it comes to using the handle, very smooth operation, I'm not getting any squeaking. And then going in the opposite direction, again, this is going to be smooth. Part of that is because this handle does rotate. It's not going to be too harsh on your hand either. Now, if you want to save some time, of course, all you have to do is flip that up. I find it best with the other hand to hold that, and you're just going to grab your drill. Now to put this on, it's really easy. Whatever type of drill you have, you just stick that in there and bam, you're good to go. And when it comes to going down, (drill whirring) it moves at a pretty fast pace. No real resistance there. It's also going to depend on the drill that you do have, the size and how fast it is. And now when I go up, (drill whirring) you notice there is going to be a little bit of resistance there, but it still moves at a much faster pace compared to when we were cranking it before. Now, two other things I want to talk about is going to be the weight capacity. So this is rated for 2,000 pounds. So again, that's for your smaller to moderate size trailers. It's going to work perfectly fine with those. If you needed something a little bit heftier for those extra large trailers like your campers, I might recommend checking out something like our electric versions of these. Now, when it comes to the total lift you're going to get out of this, we're going to have 14 inches of lift, which is going to be pretty good because that's going to allow us to work with a lot of different trailer heights out there. Now I do want to take a closer look at the scale, very simple design. You notice our dials only move over a little bit just because it's a small trailer. So the way this dial works is going to be an analog style, it goes up in 50 pound increments and this is going to have a max rating of 2,000 pounds as indicated here in the side. So trying to read this is going to be really easy to do since everything is going to have a black background and all the things that are required to read are either going to be in yellow or white. Once you're done using this, you are going to have this other drop leg. And what I like about this is let's say that 14 inches of lift from this jack isn't going to be enough or you need something a little bit taller, you have a lot more options here. This is going to go up
