Hi everyone, Steve here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the DeeMaxx 12 inch Integral Rotor and Hub Disc Brake in kit. Folks, this is designed for 6,000 pound trailer axles and this complete brake in kit in kit rather includes again, an integral rotor and hub assembly. And you're also going to get the brake caliper with the pads, the mounting bracket, and of course the races bearings and grease seals, lug nuts, everything you need for installation. And I'll go ahead and put up the bearing numbers, races, etc., that came with this package. And I'll go ahead and spin this around while I'm doing that so you can see everything slotted here, helping to drain water and stuff, but also keeping heat and everything dissipating quicker.
And again, this is just an integratal rotor and hub assembly. So it's ready to go right on out of the box. And then of course you have your hardware. And again, you have the grease cap, dust cap. You take out the center plug to reach those grease zerks on your spindle if you do have the easy lube or the quick lube spindles.
Now this is all protected with DeeMaxx's max coating. That's going to be a corrosion resistant finish. It's designed to help resist rust that can be caused by water, road salt, harsh weather, those kind of things as well. And as you know, disc brakes offer several advantages over your traditional drum brakes. Again, I mentioned that heat dissipation already.
You're going to get more consistent brake performance. You're going to get improved stopping power. You're going to be able to stop quicker, especially during repeated braking or long downhill grades as well. And again, everything's included. So replacing all those components at once is going to give you a quick, easy maintenance or a quick easy swap over if you're upgrading from drum to disc.
