In Part 1, I broke down how I adjust the wash day portion of the Abbey's method for curls.
But post-wash & styling is where the biggest differences for wavy/curly hair shows up.
Straight-hair routines often prioritize softness and finish after washing.
Curly hair needs structure and hold first.
If your curls feel overly soft, lack definition, or don’t last, this is usually where the routine needs to change — especially if you’re transitioning from straight to curly.
