Many of my clients prefer an easy, no-sectioning routine, but we have to make sure we're still getting gel applied evenly.
When you’re not sectioning, starting small with your gel matters even more.
Instead of grabbing a huge amount, I apply in layers and work my way around my head.
This helps:
Prevent overloading certain areas
Make sure every strand gets coated
Keep your curl pattern balanced
Avoid wasting product
I rake slowly, check how it feels, and then decide if I need more.
That way the gel works with my hair instead of sitting on top of it.
Intentional application is better than rushing the process.
