Your wash day routine isn’t random.
Each step should build on the one before it.
Think of it like a visual:
Shampoo + conditioner = your base conditioning
Leave-ins, creams, foams = where moisture builds
Gels + sprays = where hold should peak
The closer you get to the end of your routine, the more hold your products should have. That’s what locks everything in.
What usually causes problems is when:
conditioning stays high all the way through
hold never truly takes over
curls soften too much and don’t last
Balance doesn’t mean less moisture.
It means front-loading conditioning and finishing with hold.
When your routine is built in the right order, everything suddenly makes more sense.
