In my crochet tutorial today I’ll be showing you how to make this crochet walking panda applique.

If you would like to view the crochet pattern for free, it’s on my website at kerriscrochet.com/crochet-walking-panda-pattern or you can download it from Ravelry at ravelry.com/patterns/library/walking-panda for $1 at and LoveCrafts at lovecrafts.com/en-gb/p/walking-panda-crochet-pattern-by-kerris-crochet

You can also subscribe to Kerri’s Crochet Newsletter and get a free copy of the Crochet Cat Towel eBook at kerriscrochet.com/crochet-pattern-ebook-and-newsletter

For this pattern you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Catona cotton colours (106) Snow White and (110) Black. A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook. A darning needle to weave in ends and a pair of scissors. Black thread and needle to embroider on the mouth and attach eye areas, nose and ears. 2 small white beads for the eyes.

The finished size will be 18cm wide x 19cm high (7” wide x 7.5” high) for the larger walking panda, using 8 ply crochet cotton. The size of the walking panda in Catona will be 15cm wide x 15.5cm high (5.75” wide x 6” high). The medium walking panda will be 11cm wide x 12.5cm high (4.5” wide x 5” high) when using 4 ply crochet cotton. The small walking panda will be 9cm wide x 9.5cm high (3.5” wide x 3.75” high) when using 2 ply crochet cotton.
