In my crochet tutorial today I’ll be showing you how to make this crochet castle applique.

If you would like to view the crochet pattern for free, it’s on my website at kerriscrochet.com/crochet-castle-pattern or you can download it from Ravelry at ravelry.com/patterns/library/castle-6 for $1 at and LoveCrafts at lovecrafts.com/en-gb/p/castle-crochet-pattern-by-kerris-crochet

You can also subscribe to Kerri’s Crochet Newsletter and get a free copy of the Crochet Cat Towel eBook at kerriscrochet.com/crochet-pattern-ebook-and-newsletter

For this pattern you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Catona cotton colors (074) Mercury, (242) Metal Grey, (115) Hot Red, (254) Moon Rock and (110) Black. A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook. A darning needle to weave in ends and a pair of scissors. Thread and needle to stitch the castle together and black thread to embroider on markings.

The finished size will be 26cm wide x 19cm high (10.25” wide x 7.5” high) for the larger castle, using 8 ply crochet cotton. The size of the castle in Catona will be 20cm wide x 17cm high (8" wide x 6.75" high). The medium castle will be 15cm wide x 13cm high (5.75” wide x 5” high) when using 4 ply crochet cotton. The small castle will be 12.5cm wide x 9cm high (4.75” wide x 3.5” high) when using 2 ply crochet cotton.
