In my crochet tutorial today I’ll be showing you how to make this crochet elephant bag.

For this pattern you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used 8 ply yarn which is light worsted in the US and double knit in the UK in colors pink, grey and white. Crochet hooks, I used a 4.5mm hook for the granny square and a 4mm hook for the sides and strap. A darning needle to weave in ends and a pair of scissors. Sewing thread and a needle to stitch the elephant together. Black cotton to embroider on the eyes and the markings on the trunk. A button and some fabric for lining the bag if desired.
The finished size will be 16.5cm square or 6.5” square without strap. The strap is 32.5cm long or 13” long.
