In my crochet tutorial today I’ll be showing you how to make this crochet seagull applique.

For this pattern you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Catona cotton colors (106) Snow White, (074) Mercury, (189) Royal Orange and (110) Black. A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook. A darning needle to weave in ends. A pair of scissors. Sewing thread and a needle to stitch the seagull together. Black thread to embroider on the eye.
The finished size will be 7.5cm wide x 6cm high (3” wide x 2.75” high) for the larger seagull, using 8 ply crochet cotton. The size of the seagull in Catona will be 6.5cm wide x 4.5cm high (2.5” wide x 1.75” high). The medium seagull will be 5cm wide x 4cm high (2” wide x 1.5” high) when using 4 ply crochet cotton. The small seagull will be 4cm wide x 3cm high (1.5” wide x 1” high) when using 2 ply crochet cotton.
