In my crochet tutorial today I’ll be showing you how to make this crochet turtle applique.

For this pattern you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Catona cotton colours (212) Sage Green, (244) Spruce, (404) English Tea and (110) Black. Crochet hooks, I used a 2.5mm hook and a 2.25mm hook. A darning needle to weave in ends and a pair of scissors. Cream and black thread and needle to embroider on the markings. Thread to stitch the turtle together.
The finished size will be 9cm wide x 15cm high (3.5” wide x 6” high) for the larger turtle, using 8 ply crochet cotton. The size of the turtle in Catona will be 7cm wide x 11.5cm high (7.5” wide x 4.5” high). The medium turtle will be 5cm wide x 10cm high (2” wide x 4” high) when using 4 ply crochet cotton. The small turtle will be 4cm wide x 7.5cm high (1.5” wide x 3” high) when using 2 ply crochet cotton.
