In my crochet tutorial today I'll be showing you how to make this crochet new moon applique.

For this pattern you will need crochet cotton or wool, I used Scheepjes Catona crochet cotton colours (280) Lemon, (106) Snow White, (110) Black and a tiny bit of (390) Poppy Rose. A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook. Scissors. Darning needle to weave in ends. Sewing thread and needle to stitch the features to the moon.
The finished size will be 14cm x 21cm (5.5” x 8.25”) for the larger new moon, using 8 ply crochet cotton. The medium new moon will be 8.5cm x 14cm (3.5” x 5.5”) when using 4 ply crochet cotton. The small new moon will be 6.5cm x 10cm (2.5” x 4”) when using 2 ply crochet cotton.
