In my crochet tutorial today I'll be showing you how to make this crochet ice cream applique.

For this pattern you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Catona cotton colours (404) English Tea, (162) Black Coffee, (106) Snow White and (115) Hot Red. A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook. Sewing thread and needle to stitch the ice cream together. A darning needle to weave in ends. Embroidery cotton to embroider sprinkles on the ice cream.
The finished size will be 11cm wide x 14cm high (4.5” wide x 5.5” high) for the larger ice cream, using 8 ply crochet cotton. The size of the ice cream in Catona will be 8.5cm wide x 10.5cm high (3.75" wide x 4" high). The medium ice cream will be 7cm wide x 9cm high (2.5” wide x 3.5” high) when using 4 ply crochet cotton. The small ice cream will be 5cm wide x 6.5cm high (2” wide x 2.5” high) when using 2 ply crochet cotton.
