In my crochet tutorial today I'll be showing you how to make this crochet dachshund applique.

For this pattern you will need crochet cotton or wool, I used Scheepjes Catona crochet cotton colors (162) Black Coffee, (179) Topaz, (110) Black and (506) Caramel. A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook. Scissors. Darning needle to weave in ends. Sewing thread and needle to stitch the dachshund together. 2 small black beads for the eyes if desired.
The finished size will be 17cm x 14.5cm (6.75” x 5.75”) for the larger dachshund, using 8 ply crochet cotton. The medium dachshund will be 10cm x 9cm (3.75” x 3.5”) when using 4 ply crochet cotton. The small dachshund will be 8cm x 7cm (3.25” x 2.75”) when using 2 ply crochet cotton.
