In my crochet tutorial today I'll be showing you how to make this crochet crane applique.

For this pattern you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Catona Cotton colours (208) Yellow Gold, (110) Black and (393) Charcoal. A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook. A darning needle to weave in ends. Scissors. Sewing thread and a needle to stitch the crane together.
The finished size will be 18cm wide x 13cm high (7” wide x 5” high) for the larger crane using 8 ply crochet cotton. The size of the crane in Catona will be 13cm wide x 13cm high (5" wide x 5" high). The medium crane will be 12.5cm wide x 10cm high (5” wide x 3.75” high) when using 4 ply crochet cotton. The small crane will be 9cm wide x 7.5cm high (3.5” wide x 3” high) when using 2 ply crochet cotton.
