God's Own Backyard Ultra is held in Yorkshire (God's own country) at Hunters Greave in Kirkstall, Leeds. My wonderful friend Eleanor has taken part in every GOBYU... I'm pretty sure it's her favourite race! She asked me to crew her for this race, and after crewing her at the inaugural event (youtube.com/watch?v=jExMQXCXAR4), I returned to help her see how far she could push herself. Could she run a PB? Could she win? She was definitely going to try!

Obviously a condition of me crewing her was that I couldn't miss parkrun so I started day with a parkrun before heading down to Hunters Greave for as long as Eleanor needed me... Although I was secretly hoping that wouldn't be into Monday morning! This is a video that takes you on the crazy journey of crewing a backyard ultra.
