THE CRAZIEST FIELD GOAL EVER

On November 18, 2007, Cleveland Browns kicker Phil Dawson hit a bizarre, 51-yard game-tying field goal against the Baltimore Ravens. The ball struck the left upright, ricocheted to the back curved stanchion, and bounced backward over the crossbar onto the field.

Initially ruled no good, the Ravens left the field celebrating. Following a lengthy conference, officials correctly reversed the call to good because the ball crossed over the crossbar before hitting the back support, forcing overtime where the Browns won.
