Chrono Trigger: Enhansa Edition is a hack by inuksuk that rebalances things such as characters, equipment, techs, and so on to provide a harder challenge overall.

Version being played: 0.4.4
Well now, Crono got himself deleted from the game and we're essentially stranded on an island. Yes, the Epoch survived, but it got stranded on the one piece of land we can't access. There is a shop with some consumables on sale in the area and a few NPCs to converse with. You'll need to visit the Commons area just to the east of where the Epoch is to advance the story.
At the Commons, the elderly man in the very back will advance the story, but before you speak to him, put Ayla in the second position in your party with whomever you want to assist her in combat in the first position.
Upon talking to the elderly man, the party gets crashed by local idiot Dalton. He proclaims himself king, then starts on the makings of a dumb plan.
First, he decides he needs a suitable throne and decides on the Epoch. He then decides to...ahem, "capture" the good guys.
The team wakes up somewhere with maybe the one smartest thing Dalton's done thus far...take the party's EVERYTHING....and yet, he still fails. More in a second.
If you head up the ladder, you'll realize you're on the Blackbird that you saw back in the Zeal region, then be forced to head back downstairs where you can elect to head out the door or take a hidden path up into the ventilation shafts.
Now, the reason Ayla's here lies with the enemies. They're pretty damn weak, but at the same time anyone without a weapon will be unable to fight, acting as if they ventured into a Final Fantasy game and got petrified. If you brought three people unable to fight and ram into an enemy? Instant game over!
However, the first crack in Dalton's plan shows. Ayla fights with her fists so she can still fight, even without armor or accessories.
The second fail in Dalton's plan? The ventilation shafts. Up there are grates you can peek through to see what's below. More importantly, if you head south, then east, then north, then west to the first route split, then head north to the next grate, you'll be able to take a ladder to the west which leads to a chest...and a sleeping guard.
That chest the guard is failing to protect contains the gear of whomever is in the first position of your team. Congrats, the Blackbird enemies are even more screwed cause I put Robo there.
Backtrack to where you first entered the shafts, then head west all the way, then south until a brief cutscene takes over. Turns out Dalton's giving the Epoch some upgrades.
Once that scene is done, head north and take the path west at the 2nd intersection. This leads to a ladder going down to where a chest is. Blow up the guards, then claim the gear for the third person in your team.
Feel free to wander outside this room and kill some enemies if you want. Your starting room from here is past the conveyor belt to the north and immediately to the east, guarded by a single enemy and a wandering floating mecha orb.
Two more chests to reclaim some of your stuff can be found near your start room. Money's in the room to the west and your second's character gear in the room to the north. Once you have all that, proceed north into the next room.
In the next room, take the door to the west. Kill the enemies inside and reclaim your inventory from the chest, then head through the northwestern door to find yourself outside. There's not much to do except get to the end of the wing...oh, and blow up some Turret enemies on the way.
Turrets are upgraded Rubble enemies from the Mountain of Woe. That means physicals only once again. The only differences here are a weak laser attack from them and higher health. Can even potentially fight several at once if you set it up right, but you run a high risk of some running if you miss too much.
At the end of the wing, a boss comes through a portal...amusingly enough, it's an...."upgraded" Golem, the Golem Boss. That's great, but apparently Golem Boss HATES heights so it just sits there doing nothing.
Right around this time, Dalton completes the upgrades to the Epoch and takes it out for a spin. Unfortunately the team manages to invade and attempt to take back their ride.
Dalton's response? Try to start a fight. Unfortunately he doesn't get too far before Exdeath of FFV fame invites him to a party in the wonderful world of the Void. A couple switches later and the Epoch fires lasers that bring down the Blackbird.
In the end, I guess Dalton did do one thing right...give the Epoch upgrades. There's damn near nothing that's inaccessible in any era now.
More next time!
