Getting close to the castle to aid Tendaris, but with more and more very bad people trying to invade like Illrodan & Adrian. We'll need to be quick then!
The objective is to reach the castle gate with Jakka in 13 turns. More than enough time, but don't get too complacent upon seeing the rather barren map. Enemies will swarm in as you progress.
As for the secret lunatic objective, it involves two of the bosses. One is always Embla in the west who takes over Ashe's job of summoning Flame Wisps to annoy you. She's not much different otherwise besides having Sol for a personal skill and not being able to summon a Meteor tome out of thin air. She can show up in the next chapter if not defeated here and she WILL be able to get a Meteor tome there so yeah, she needs to die here. She also has a Holy Symbol that can be stolen, hence why Colter's here. Embla also drops a Solar Brace which boosts one unit's growths by 5% across the board.
The other boss to mention is dependent on if Leonora is dead. If she isn't, she shows up here. Otherwise, Miriam takes her place. I'd argue Miriam is more threatening solely due to Luna. She falls easily to bow users otherwise.
As for how this all ties into the secret lunatic objective, Embla & Miriam or Leonora need to die on the same turn. Embla should be the first one you work on wearing down since the other two can be easily crushed by dragon effective weaponry. Lure either one in once you know you can take out Embla on the following turn.
A few supports get triggered at the start like Halfdan/Helga & Caroline/Aisha. The real treat though is Isabelle & Albert getting their A support. This gives Isabelle the same Nihil skill that Albert has. For someone who's quite a bit more bulky, this is absurdly good for her to have for the future.
Also, new party member! If Leonora's still alive, then Miriam joins up. Here though, Leonora got sacked so Ashe joins.
Ashe is finally the replacement to take over Aylanda's spot as a healer & strong offensive unit. No Starfall to lean on for big staff range, but that's no worry. Ashe's stats are very good aside from her base luck being a touch low and her growths are amazing. Besides str being her dump stat, her lowest growth is def at 35%. Everything else is at 45% or greater.
Ashe's personal skill is Flare, a Skill% chance to halve an enemy's resistance. Not the most out there insane skill, but still nice for some bonus damage here & there.
Ashe also brings in a couple bonus perks...the first one has her summon her own set of Flame Wisps for this chapter. They're nice for simply distracting some of the enemies and doing some light damage so your units can more easily pickup kills.
The other one involves the four churches around the map. There's someone inside that'll give you an item. If Ashe visits them, you get the item (two of them even give a better reward to her) plus they join the battle as a green unit.
As for the secret event, a Gladiator appears at the arena on turn 3. Pretty powerful and he has a Swordslayer that he drops on death. Notable because this Swordslayer is the only one of its kind in the game.
Other than all that, this chapter isn't as tricky as the last one. I burn a Hammerne on the Rescue staff so Shay can go nuts with pulling units forward again.
Oh yes, there's someone guarding the castle gate, but he's nothing too special. Just bring some good magic based attacks.
The chapter ends with more visions of the past seen through Mortimer's eyes, this time of his brothers.
