We are in Qingdao to attend China's monthlong party, the Qingdao International Beer Festival. It's the biggest beer festival in Asia, and the 2nd biggest in the world. Qingdao is a very unique city in China. It was taken over by Germany in the late 1800s. In 1903 they established the Tsingtao Brewery, the first of its kind in China.
Qingdao is all about beer and not just during the beer festival. But during July/August the city is a big party with beer related events taking place in the historical district and at Golden Beach Beer City, an area that they've developed specifically for this event. China likes to party and we're there for it. We spent 2 days exploring, and sipping cold beers along the way.
