Nice quick weeknight cook of some chicken legs on the Monument Grills MESA 305. Used the MeatStick 4X to monitor the cook!
• Started with some chicken legs from Bell and Evans.
• Seasoned them with PS Seasonings On the Rocks about 2 hours in advance
• Set up the Monument Mesa 305 with the 2 outside burners on high and the center burner on low heat and started these skin side up.
• Was planning to do 15 minutes before checking but needed to turn the center burner off because of flames.
• We did keep the center burner on the whole cook and it took around 30 minutes
• Pulled them when they were all close to 175F.
Summary: The Mesa 305 is an outstanding grill and I would recommend to anyone looking for a solid grill at a great price! The Chicken legs were great and the On the Rocks seasoning was lost a little because of the charred skin, but still good!
Note: The MeatStick 4X needed to be inserted a little further to avoid those warnings.
