...This week's #toptipsontuesdays was inspired by David West who recently did a demonstration in the rain on how to get a shavings tinder bundle from dead standing wood.

...In wet humid conditions this would probably be one of your only options so it's definitely one that's worth practicing. Make sure you make enough too, volume is key here, & be sure the bundle is compact enough with finer shavings in the core to help transfer the ember through the bundle.
