...Here's the full version of the fire saw I did on the fly the other day on one of our treks up the mountain.
.
...I'd previously spotted a clump of bamboo that I thought would be suitable & once I figured out how to get round to it I managed to find a suitable piece.
.
...Unfortunately whilst cutting the piece down I managed to cut my knuckle open on another piece of bamboo & it was bleeding quite bad. Rather than abandon my attempt I wrapped some tissue round it &  continued. After all if it was a survival situation I wouldn't have any choice & as this injury wasn't life threatening I thought it would be good practice.
