...Trying another piece of moringa oleifera also known as the drumstick tree for the fire plough today.

...I've had success with it once before but it wasn't so easy as it is a very light wood & it took a bit of fiddling around to get the blade thickness right & the right amount of pressure to apply.

... What I've learned so far with technique is that the lighter the wood the thicker the blade needs to be. If its too thin then it cuts into the hearth too quick & the resistance becomes too much to maintain enough speed for ignition.
