...So here's a #toptipsontuesdays that I sometimes use if I've got a thick hearth board.

...Instead of putting all that effort filling up a deep notch pad out the bottom of the notch by half using whatever you have to hand. A tissue, cotton wool, a scrap of paper or even a snapped off twig. Anything really that will lift the floor of the hearth saving you time & valuable energy.

...Anyway as seen it definitely works & if you were in a position where calories count then this is worth remembering.
