...After last week's abuse of my firestone I was reluctant to use it for more percussion fire lighting especially as I'd re-honed the edge on it. I figured if I used some charred tissue, which is super reactive, & I get the angle right it should only take one tap to get it lit minimising damage to the stone.

....Lucky I got it just right & the stone survived unscathed but just to reiterated, you could damage your stone using it in this way. I just show these uses to demonstrate what they are capable of if push came to shove.
