Slowly but surely bbno$ is becoming my favorite rapper. His irreverent style, dancey productions, and lyrical flow is exactly what rap needs right now.
The man who clearly doesn't take life too seriously is Alexander Gumuchian based out of Kelowna - deep in the interior of British Columbia. He delivers a refreshing aesthetic amidst a mumbly, everyone-is-a-tough-guy rap game.
A few fast facts about beebeenomoolah:
In China, he's the man. He sold out back-to-back tours there while in Vancouver "maybe 100 people would show up". I predict that's all about to change.
He wrote his first track baked. Ripped over a Chief Keef type beat for a minute and a half and from that moment on he knew he was going to be a rapper.
He's got connections to the TFBoys. Who TF are the TFBoys you might ask? Well, in China they are bigger than Bieber. Jackson, a member of their crew danced to bbno$'s track "Yoyo Tokyo" at his and he went viral overnight. Still never met them though.
While the triplet flow rules rap, he tries to stay away. He is and wants to be an outlier. That said, he's about to drop a 160 BPM track that is littered with triplets, and it's gonna pop.
And finally, his go to studio meal is cold cuts or chicken topped with avocado, balsamic vinegar, and Sriracha. I fuck with all things Sriracha.
