KULT News visited Santa Cruz, CA, the old stomping grounds of our very own Stacey Karacia at the end of August, 2024.
As is often the case, we had the cops called on us more than once. Would the responding officers be professional or would they be schmucks?

Laws may vary but, generally speaking, in the United States, if you are in public you are legally able to photograph whatever you can see. Simply put, your eyes can’t be trespassed. Obviously there are some restrictions on this (i.e., bathrooms, dressing rooms, most courtrooms, locker rooms, etc.) but very few when you are in public. If you can see it, you can shoot it (this rule only applies to cameras.) This is not legal advice.
