On November 29, 2023 KULT News visited Indianapolis, IN  where are the feelings enforcement police were out in full force in the form of the seemingly illiterate Sgt. Tony Brown.
Body camera footage very clearly showed Sgt. Brown knew the law regarding public photography but he chose to ignore it and jail an innocent American journalist for not honoring his ridiculous and unlawful demands.
Would the prosecutor and judge agree with Sgt. Brown’s ridiculous interpretation of the law or would they refuse to prosecute and extend an apology?

Laws may vary but, generally speaking, in the United States, if you are in public you are legally able to photograph whatever you can see. Simply put, your eyes can’t be trespassed. Obviously there are some restrictions on this (i.e., bathrooms, dressing rooms, most courtrooms, locker rooms, etc.) but very few when you are in public. If you can see it, you can shoot it (this rule only applies to cameras.) This is not legal advice.
