KULT News was vexed in Bexley, OH on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023.
We conducted a very simple First Amendment audit comprised of simply standing on the public sidewalk outside of banking institutions and aiming a camera at them. We wanted to see if they understood and respected our right to photograph anything we can see when we are in public.*
Although many of these financial institutions have multiple cameras on the outside of their buildings aimed at the public, they often seem to have a problem when the public aims their cameras back at them.
Most of these financial institutions received some of the hundreds of billions of dollars in the 2008-2009 bailout. We have every right to take pictures of their precious buildings from public streets and sidewalks. Heck, we practically paid for them.ð¡
