KULT News visited Las Cruces, NM and, it seems, our cameras made people uncomfortable. Thankfully, the comfort cops were available and they jumped into action!
The question is, would the comfort of the local citizens outweigh the rights of our intrepid reporter?

Laws may vary but, generally speaking, in the United States, if you are in public you are legally able to photograph whatever you can see. Simply put, your eyes can’t be trespassed. Obviously there are some restrictions on this (i.e., bathrooms, dressing rooms, most courtrooms, locker rooms, etc.) but very few when you are in public. If you can see it, you can shoot it (this rule only applies to cameras.) This is not legal advice.
