The great Willie Mays just passed away, so in his honor here are some commercials he appeared in back in the day.
First, two mid-eighties ads for Empire Ford in Mount Vernon, New York, with owner Tom Bolizar (?). Then it's back to the 70's, with a United States Postal Service PSA with a number of celebrities imploring viewers to mail their Christmas items early. Finally, another 80's ad, for the fledgling national newspaper USA Today.
USPS commercial: Robert Klein, Rose Marie, Willie Mays, Bobby Riggs, Milton Berle, Lynn Redgrave.
USA Today commercial: Chicago Mayor Jane Byrne, Charles Schwab, Willard Scott, Willie Mays and Mickey Mantle, Diahann Carroll.
