Here's some WPHL (channel 17 out of Philadelphia) Late Show stuff, recorded in late April of 1985.
The recording begins with a partial promo for an NBA playoffs game, Sixers vs. Bullets. Then:
--a Jeffersons promo;
--the LS intro (I have a later version of the open on this channel also) announcing "Please Don't Eat the Daisies";
--the movie is brought to you by Thermal-Gard, with long segments hosted by Tom [something] and Dick Van Patten;
--movie begins, MGM logo;
--Grover Washington Jr. delivers a public service announcement for ARC/Rainbow, looking for "host families for mentally retarded young adults" (interested?), then a bump;
--Bell Atlantic rolled out their mobile phone (called "Alex," as in Graham Bell) a year or so earlier. I can't find details of its demise, but given the volatility of the communications industry at that time, I don't imagine it lasted much longer;
--a couple of guys in bird costumes for Medford Ford in New Jersey;
--promo for "Second Wind," 1976 Canadian film;
--more Thermal-Gard, with Dick interviewing satisfied customer Nancy Carlson;
--finally, if you'd experienced a car accident, Goldberg & Associates wanted to help.
