Recorded in August 1985, here are a couple of "Today in Music History" segments created by Man in the Moon Productions for sponsored broadcast (in this case, on Philadelphia's WTAF channel 29, brought to you by Listerine and Sun Country Wine Coolers, respectively).
First, we see Peter, Paul and Mary, who had released their first folk hit "If I Had a Hammer" on August 18th, 1962. Then, we learn that Debby Boone gave the world her ballad "You Light Up My Life" on August 19th, 1977.
