...Whilst out on a trek the other morning I came across a patch of wild galangal & took a stem to process for a fire roll.
.
...The processing takes a bit of time but it's easy enough, just make sure the fibres are relatively clean then let them dry. Where I am there's plenty of flat rocks that make suitable rolling surfaces but you could also use a split branch to the same effect.

...I didn't use any accelerant in this roll ad I know from experience that most members of the ginger family don't need any.
