...Tought I'd keep thd theme going for a while of firing it up with a #firestonependant & This week it's a #fireonthefly with a firestone pendant.

...The main challenge for this was cutting the blade to the right thickness. As I've said I don't really recommend bashing these stones or using them as strikers but at a risk to my own stone I thought I'd push it in the interests of experimentation.

...Anyway I figured a bit of light batoning down to two opposite shallow cuts around 30cm from the end end would work & with a little trimming after the blade was good to go.The hearth just needed flattening off a little & a little divot boring to make a stop
.
...The set was made from a branch of Malayan cherry that I'd harvested a few weeks earlier
.
...So that's my #fireitupfriday with a #firestonependant for this week guys.
