The Virginia and Truckee Railroad operates a steam excursion train from East Carson City, NV, to Virginia City, NV during the summer months. This video captures the train powered by 2-8-0 Consolidation #29 as it passes through Mound House and again at the state route 341 over-crossing. Virginia City is famous for the being the home to the 1859 Comstock Lode silver boom, the Bucket of Blood Saloon (still operating) and author Mark Twain from 1862 to 1864.
