This short video was shot in and around San Diego during April, 2000, just prior to Amtrak's announcing its new Pacific Surfliner service on June 1. I was in town for a railfan excursion at the San Diego Railroad Museum (now Pacific Southwest Railway Museum). I'm a bit fuzzy on the shooting locations because my notes no longer exist but I think they start near the I5/SR52 interchange, move north to Oceanside then south to Solana Beach before ending in downtown San Diego. Apparently I was saving my digital-8 tape for the excursion and kept this content brief.
