Friday, December 27, 2013, was a regular work day as far as the Bay Area transit agencies were concerned. Most of the commuters, however, apparently enjoyed the day off as part of their Christmas holiday. This was a perfect opportunity to ride the Altamont Corridor Express from Pleasanton to San Jose, California.
The 50 minute drive from my house was easy with the traffic almost non-existent. Altamont Corridor Express Train 07 (Single Oh Seven, not to be confused with agent Double Oh Seven) from Stockton arrived right on time at 8:18am. Shooting video from inside the commute car proved to be challenging with the filthy windows and the incessant sound of the A/C.

My return trip to Pleasanton involved taking Caltrain from San Jose to Millbrae, BART from Millbrae to Dublin/Pleasanton and a cab back to the ACE parking lot.
