While on vacation along the central California coast, I had a chance to catch a meet between the north and south bound versions of Amtrak’s Coast Starlight at San Luis Obispo, CA, on January 15, 2015. Train 11 heading to Los Angeles arrived first at 2:55pm and departed on time at 3:20pm. Train 14 bound for Seattle arrived at 3:15pm and waited for train 11 to depart before pulling up to the platform. It departed on time at 3:35pm.
