In July, 1999, I was on the road driving from the Bay Area to Seattle for a ten week training assignment. I pulled off Interstate 5 at the south end of Weed, CA, and took the dirt road to UP's Black Butte siding where they interchange with the Central Oregon and Pacific (CORP) Siskiyou Subdivision. The eastbound manifest, headed by two SD70M's (one SP and one EMD), stopped for a little under an hour to swap cars with CORP. Just before they left for Oregon, a westbound manifest with only UP motive power rolled down the hill to a stop. The video is one of my early efforts where inattention to detail allowed the date/time stamp to appear on screen.
