In an attempt to stop myself entering this race the I volunteered to marshal instead. I've not run here since Eleanor and I won female pairs in 2018 but it's a race that I really love.

I was feeling a bit bad about taking up Poppy's entire weekend because I wanted to be at a race but as soon as we arrived she got right into the festival vibe that there is on site. We both loved marshalling the water station, we especially loved all the incredible fancy dress.

After our shift I headed out on course to check out the lights that come on after dark. It's an undulating tough route but so fun and it's great to chat to other runners as they make their way around the 5 mile course. I loved everything about this weekend and saw so many runners that I know achieve really awesome things.

Oh and the best thing is that there is time to fit in a parkrun on Saturday morning before heading to Bramham Park so what's not to love?!
