We have tried to head to QEGS to complete Poppy's parkrun alphabet (running a parkrun that starts with every letter of the alphabet apart from X a there are currently no parkruns beginning with X) several times, but each time it has been cancelled due to bad weather. We finally picked the perfect day!

This parkrun is a perfectly self contained with free parking on the school grounds, toilets in the pavilion by the finish line, and the PTA selling drinks and snacks at the finish too. There is a fantastic energy here too with so many engaged young people volunteering and getting into the parkrun spirit.

Do remember to count to 5 while you're running, a surprising number of us found this a lot more difficult than it should have been! Also... keep an eye out for the fancy dress run in August, and if you go along then please let me know what it was like!

Huge thanks to the wonderful team at Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School parkrun for a brilliant morning. We are so happy to have finally visited!
