Burnley parkrun has been my NENDY for an absolute age and I finally headed over to check it out. I should have visited sooner! Towneley Park is definitely the jewel in Burnley's crown and Burnley parkrun is a jewel in parkrun world!

Poor Poppy was feeling poorly so our parkrun became a parkrun but that just meant we had more time to enjoy this beautiful place. Plus we invented parkpicnic... Which is very much like parkrun, but more filling!

Huge thanks to Karen and her wonderful team for a great parkrun morning. If you're visiting this parkrun then it's worth checking out the Burnley Embankment, or the Straight Mile.
