We summited popular Front Range 14er Torreys Peak via class 3 Kelso Ridge, which rises about 2000ft in 1 mile. Compared to the standard route which I used to summit Grays/Torreys a few years ago, this route is much more fun, as it offers lots of scrambling opportunities, including several engaging class 3 sections. There is also a 30-40ft long Knife Edge at 14,000’ with high exposure on both sides. It’s a great training route for getting into higher class 3/4 terrain. Total stats from upper Grays Peak TH: 6.8 miles with 3,000ft elevation gain
