We hiked this top rated trail in White Sands NP, New Mexico on 11/29/2024. The crowd disappeared after the first half mile, and the view along this 4.5 miles loop was otherworldly. There were a lot of ups/downs over sand dunes which was both fun and a bit tiring. It’s a great time of the year to do this hike as temperature was a very pleasant 55°F. We rented a couple of sleds from visitor center and tried sledding down a tall dune near the trailhead, a fun way to end the visit
