Lackawanna Peak, elevation 13,823’, is a Centennial 13er (ranked 96th in CO) located in the Sawatch Range of central Colorado. It’s not marked on many maps including AllTrails as it’s not officially named (UN13823). There is a winter route going up Southwest Gully that I had my eyes on for a snow climb/ski or glissade descent. After seeing poor snow conditions across Colorado this winter, I decided not to bring my skis, which was a right decision as I would not have enjoyed carrying my skis up for the little skiable terrain left. However, I was able to glissade down over 1000’ (not continuously) which was fun. The summit views were splendid with some of the state's highest peaks in the vicinity. Glad to knock out another Centennial early in the season
